Monaghan Rally

Last Sunday’s Monaghan rally was once again a very successful event. The number of traders was certainly the biggest seen at any EI rally this year and while the attendance was not as large as previous years, the club were very happy with the results.

All the regular EI traders were in attendance as well as two from the UK and three from north of the border.

One of the features of this rally is the appreciation shown to the traders. This is demonstrated by the willing help in carrying boxes in and out and by the provision of tea and sandwiches both at the start and finish of the days business. Well done Monaghan. Other clubs would do well to follow their example.

Changes to Club prize

The IRTS Committee has at it’s October meeting, decided to re-open entry to the £1000 Millennium Prize for clubs. A number of clubs had complained about a shortage of time for the original registration.

The new closing date for the competition is Dec 31st. 2000 and clubs wishing to participate should download a registration form from the IRTS Website and post it to the Secretary.

Clubs unable to download the form should contact the Secretary EI7IQ at QTHR or e-mail ei7iq@eircom.net and request a form.

Clubs who have already registered need not do so again as the original registration still stands.

The award will be made at the 2001 AGM and will be judged on the following points:
