Fingal Radio Club
Fingal Radio Club trip to Llandudno Rally on the 2nd of November 2002 will commence on the Saturday morning of the 2nd of November, leaving Dublin Port at 06:15 hrs and returning the same evening from Holyhead at 20:45 hrs, arriving back in Dublin Port at approximately 22:20 hrs. Shannon Basin Radio Club
Shannon Basin Radio Club resumed meetings after the summer break at the Royal Hotel, Roscommon on Tuesday last, the 3rd of September 2002.

Squares table 2002
The squares table has been up and running again this year, please send in your maidenhead scores if you are an active VHF operator on 2 meters, 4 meters, 6 meters, 70Cm, 23Cm or above. The squares table is published in each edition of Echo Ireland. The up to date scores can be found on EI7GL's web-page, www.qsl.net/ei7gl under the heading Squares table 2002.

General Meetings of the club will resume on Wednesday the 25th of September in the usual venue of Roanmore Social and Sports Centre, Cleaboy Road, Waterford.
DX News
Oleg, R1ANF is active from the Chinese Great Wall station on the Antarctica Net on Mondays at 1700 UTC on 21.275 MHz. He hopes to operate as R1ANF/A from Uruguayan Antarctic scientific base, on King George Island, IOTA AN-010 for a few weeks beginning early September. QSL is via RK1PWA.
WAKE ISLAND, KH9. Jake, N6XIV/KH9 is QRV from Wake Island until around mid-September on 20 metres around 0700 to 0900 UTC. QSL via K2FF.
Space News
The last two Amateur Radio on the International Space Station (ARISS) antennas were installed recently. The installation was part of a task that began last January when the first two antennas were attached to the ISS. two members of the Expedition 5 crew installed the VHF-UHF flexible-tape antennas to the ISS Service Module.
Installation of the new ARISS antennas on the Zvezda Service Module makes it possible two operate two separate amateur radio stations aboard the ISS, one for VHF operation and the other for 70 centimetre operation. Similar flexible-tape antennas for VHF-UHF and for HF were installed last January but there is yet no amateur HF equipment on board the ISS.
Frequencies for the International Space Station are as follows: Region 1 Voice uplink 145.200 MHz FM & downlink 145.800 MHz FM. Packet uplink 145.990 MHz FM & downlink 145.800 MHz FM.
